Joining First Baptist Church |

We are glad you are interested in becoming a member of First Baptist Church! We invite all who are able to participate regularly in the life of First Baptist Church, who affirm common faith with us, who affirm a common Christian lifestyle with us and who intend to grow in Christ to join us as members. Here at First Baptist, we affirm the content of the Nicene Creed as a basic outline of the Christian faith. We acknowledge a common Christian lifestyle when we are baptized, or when we renew our baptismal commitments. If you are interested in joining First Baptist Church, make time to meet with Pastor Matt, and he can walk you through the process of membership. After this initial membership conversation, you may be asked to engage in membership classes with Pastor Matt or his designee. At the end of that process, you will be invited to meet with the Membership Committee to affirm your desire for membership. They will work with you to set up either a service of baptism or a renewal of your baptismal commitments before the congregation. Thank you for considering membership at First Baptist Church! |

Here at First Baptist Church, we believe a wedding at the church honors God with the invitation to be involved in a couple's married relationship from day one. A church wedding is far more than a beautiful place to have a special service; it is an invitation for God to bless, and participate in, a couple's married life together. If you are interested in having your wedding at First Baptist Church, we invite you to take some time now, if you haven't already, together with your fiance/fiancee, to invite God into your relationship. As you ask him to bless your relationship together, we invite you to affirm that you will do your best to maintain godly boundaries in your relationship with your future spouse. In order to promote healthy marriage relationships, in order to honor God, and in order to arrange for the practical needs of doing a wedding service, First Baptist Church has adopted some basic wedding policies to which we adhere. |
